What is Team OS?

Team OS is a show with weekly episodes and bonus episodes that you can watch in YouTube or listen to in Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or your preferred podcast app.

It's also a feed or stream of information. Follow @RealEstateTeamOS on TikTok or Instagram. And subscribe here on the homepage for guest updates and email-exclusive insights.

Ultimately, Real Estate Team OS is a growing curriculum. As we learn from top performing agents and team leaders about the stages of their journey, we'll share it in various formats and channels.

Who is this for?

Of course, this show is for leaders, operators, and managers of real estate teams, teamerages, and brokerages. But it's also for solo agents!

If you're thinking about whether or how to start a team of your own, you'll love this show.

If you're thinking about whether or when to join a team, you'll also get useful insights.

What will you learn?

Some of the topics we're covering in these conversations:

  • The diverse ways the team model is being implemented
  • Team roles, structure, operations, accountability, and profitability
  • Leadership and team building - culture, vision, values, and purpose
  • The who, what, and when of recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, onboarding, coaching, training, and mentoring

We're talking about things that have worked and things that haven't.

We're talking about what's been tried (and still remains true) and what needs to change.

Who are we learning from?

So that you're best equipped for whatever's next in your business, we'll be sharing a variety of faces, voices, stories, and experiences in the Team OS conversation.

Here are four aspects of that diversity and variety:

  • People of different ages, genders, and ethnicities
  • People in a variety of real estate markets across North America
  • People in different brands, franchises, and brokerages, as well as independents
  • People at various stages in their journey from solo agent through mega team leader

What can you expect from each episode?

There are three specific elements in every full-length episode:

  • Opener: What is a must-have characteristic of a high-performing team?
  • Closer: A trio of fun, personal this-or-that / would-you-rather types of questions
  • Decision Point: a breakdown of a specific problem, opportunity, or challenge on the journey

Specific to that third point, we discuss when that problem or opportunity arose, how they became aware of it, how they thought about and considered it, what resources they used to guide their decision, the decision they ultimately made, some expected and unexpected consequences that resulted, and how they'd advise someone facing a similar problem or opportunity today.

Expect an education-forward conversation that's entertaining along the way. Expect professional insights with a personal touch.

How is this different from what's out there?

Many shows and content that address some of these topics are predominantly driven by one person - their story, their insights, their lessons. And this is great, because you can go deep into a successful person's philosophy and practice. And often, the topic of teams comes up every now and then.

In contrast, Team OS features a different team leader every episode and teams are all we talk about.

In addition, this content is free and constantly available. You SHOULD be investing in coaching, mentoring, masterminds, events, training, and similar. But you don't always have to get through the paywall for practical and provocative insights from proven professionals - including what you'll learn here.

Who is the host of Team OS?

Ethan Beute has built a career in two halves to date. In the first half, he led marketing teams inside local television stations in Grand Rapids, Chicago, and Colorado Springs. In the second half, he created and delivered a mountain of education-based content inside software companies in service of prospects, customers, employees, and others.

He's produced, hosted, and released more than 300 podcast episodes over the past 5 years, including more than 270 episodes of The Customer Experience Podcast and more than three dozen episodes of Chief Evangelist (a show he continues to produce and host).

For a dozen years, he served as VP Marketing and Chief Evangelist at BombBomb, where he worked alongside, served, and learned from people in real estate, mortgage, title, financial advisory, insurance, and other relationship- and referral-based businesses.

He currently serves as Chief Evangelist at Follow Up Boss, the open, flexible platform where top performers build thriving real estate businesses.

Along with Follow Up Boss CMO Steve Pacinelli, Ethan is the Wall Street Journal bestselling co-author of Human-Centered Communication and Rehumanize Your Business.
